Terms of Service

By accessing or using VPS Snaps ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

VPS Snaps provides automated backup services for VPS servers, databases, and Docker containers. The Service connects to third-party providers and storage destinations on your behalf.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, API tokens, and SSH keys. You must not share your account with others.

The Free plan is for one account per person or organisation. If you need more, a paid plan has room for it. A free account may not add a server, cloud account, storage account or site that another free account already uses: we may refuse that step, and we tell you how to go on (remove it from the other account, or upgrade).

A free account with no sign-in and no successful backup for 60 days is deleted. Before that, we email the account owner at 14, 30 and 45 days, and signing in or a successful backup at any point keeps the account. Paid accounts, and accounts that have paid us before, are never deleted for inactivity.

You may not use the Service for illegal activities, to violate third-party terms of service, or to harm others. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

We do not store your backup data: backups are kept in your own storage destinations. Some backups and restores stream through our systems on the way, held in memory only and never retained, as set out in section 4 of the Data Processing Agreement. We store metadata and credentials (encrypted). See our Privacy Policy for details.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on the billing cycle you choose. Prices are in US dollars and do not include taxes. Where sales tax, VAT or a similar tax applies, our payment processor works it out from your location and it is added to your invoice. See our Refund Policy for cancellation and refund terms. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for data loss resulting from service interruptions. You should maintain your own redundant backups.

VPS Snaps is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your access to the Service ends at the close of your billing period.

You can delete your account yourself at any time, under Settings → Delete account in the dashboard. A paid plan has to be cancelled under Billing first.

Deleting an account, whether you do it, we do it for inactivity, or we close it under these terms, removes from VPS Snaps your account, your workspace, your servers' settings, your backup jobs and their history, and the credentials you gave us. We revoke the sign-ins you gave us where the provider allows it. It does not touch backups already in your own storage, or anything on your servers or cloud accounts: they stay yours. A workspace other people are still members of stays with them. Deletion cannot be undone.

VPS Snaps is a United States business and follows US sanctions and export law. You may not use the Service if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or region under comprehensive US sanctions, if you are named on a US government list of restricted parties, or on behalf of anyone who is. Access from those places is blocked, and we may close an account that breaks this rule.
