How it treats your data
What you hand over to take a backup, and what happens to it. The security page has the full detail, and what VPS Snaps does not claim.
- Backups stay in your storage
- Every archive is written to your own bucket or Google Drive. VPS Snaps never stores your backups, and most of them never pass through its servers at all.
- Credentials are encrypted
- Provider tokens, SSH keys and database passwords are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and decrypted only in memory when a job runs.
- Its own server
- The service runs on a dedicated server, not shared with other tenants or applications.
